Heartland Human Care Services' (HHCS) mission is to achieve freedom from want, fear, and injustice for people marginalized by poverty, displacement, or situations of vulnerability by developing and providing a continuum of services that meet basic needs, build strengths, safeguard human rights, and provide opportunities for positive change. HHCS is the human services partner of Heartland Alliance - the leading anti-poverty organization in the Midwest. For 125 years, HHCS has been providing help, hope, and opportunity to individuals and families in Chicago and the Midwest who need it most. As the region's leading direct service organization, HHCS addresses the root causes of poverty and danger, generates social change, and inspires individuals and families to build better lives through the following services.
