Why did you join the National Health Corps Florida AmeriCorps program?
I joined the NHC Americorps program because it looked like a great opportunity to spend a year trying to help and make a difference in other people’s lives. It will be a refreshing break from hitting the books and studying as I have done for most of my life.

What are you hoping to gain from your year of service?
I hope learn about the mindset that kids of a young age have about health and share my experiences to hopefully help better their futures. I also hope to advance my leadership skills while learning more about the patience and perseverance it takes to work with children.

What are your plans after AmeriCorps service?
My plans are to apply to medical school and become a physician.

Where do you envision yourself in 5 years?
I envision myself just have graduating from medical school and starting my residency.
