Become a Member

Each member of the National Health Corps Philadelphia is assigned to a host site with a community based organization or health center.  Throughout the course of their term of service, NHC Philadelphia Members engage in direct service through the provision of ACA (Affordable Care Act) and other health insurance benefits enrollment, prescription assistance program enrollment, patient navigation services, case management, or health outreach, education and screenings.

The members also engage in professional development and growth opportunities at her/his host site through regular supervision meetings, shadowing and other trainings. In addition to serving full time at a host site, our members also participate in monthly team meetings and trainings, national days of service, group service projects, outside service, committees, and an annual retreat to build an esprit de corps and create friendships that last a lifetime.
