Why did you join National Health Corps?
Joining the National Health Corps provides the perfect opportunity to give back to the community while broadening my perspective and understanding of the health care system and the communities it affects.

What are your plans after AmeriCorps service?
No plans yet!

Tell us about an employment, service, or research experience that was important to you.
This summer I've been working at a non-profit organic farm in Hawaii. The experience has meant a lot to me because it has reinforced my dedication to working toward a healthier and happier world.

What first sparked your interest in community service?
In high school I started volunteering with an organization that brought food, clothing, and basic supplies to the homeless population in the city. We would drive an hour into the city once a month on Friday nights and spend all night at the park handing out goods and talking to the people we were helping. Through these monthly trips I discovered a passion for helping and sharing in the lives of others.

What about Philadelphia excites you the most?
I'm just excited to get to know and understand the character of a new place.

What’s your favorite food?
Ceviche and poke nachos. yumm
