Why did you join NHC?
I believe healthcare is a right and not a privilege, and I wanted to be part of a solution that provides healthcare to those who cannot afford it.

What are your plans after AmeriCorps service?
I want to go to medical school and become a doctor of some sort

Tell us about an employment, service, or research experience that was important to you.
I had the opportunity to serve as the Student Government Vice-President at my university. It was an incredible learning experience, and showed me the importance of empowering others to share their voice, and the necessary role of advocacy in leadership.

What first sparked your interest in community service?
I have always loved the idea of doing things because I want to and not for the money. If I have the ability to help others with the skills and passions that I have, I believe it is important to do so!
