BA in Anthropology from Kenyon College, Minor in English
Why did you join NHC?
It was an amazing opportunity to get a year of hands-on experience in the public health realm! I was also so excited and inspired by the passion and love that the directors and previous NHC members had for the program.
What are your plans after NHC?
I am not entirely sure yet, but hopefully get a dual degree in Public Health and another related field like social work! I would ideally like to work in child and maternal heath in the US and abroad.
What sparked your interest in community service?
I have been doing community service for my entire life, but I think that I first became interested in community service because of my parents. We were always participating in service projects as a family when I was growing up!
What excites you the most about serving in Philadelphia?
Philadelphia is a city with a lot of challenges- public health and otherwise- but there are so many people and organizations around trying to address these challenges in a really positive manner, which is really cool to see. Philly is also just a great city to live in! There are so many things to do, and Philly sports fans are the BEST!
What is your favorite food?
Hmm... this is a hard question. At the moment it's sweet potatoes.
