Why did you join NHC?
I became passionate about public health through my work as a peer advocate and educator at my college’s sexual health student center. After graduating, I was looking to do direct advocacy work with people around health while also having opportunities for training and reflection. I’m excited to do direct work with clients while also gaining a broader understanding of health justice in Philadelphia.
What are your plans after NHC?
I hope to be doing community-based health work related to sexual and reproductive health.
What sparked your interest in community service?
Service has been a meaningful way for me to build relationships and community throughout my life. I’m interested in the political potential of working together in service of community.
What excites you the most about serving in Philadelphia?
Getting to know the city and its people. And eat great food, of course.
