Educational Background
B.A. in Public Health, University of Washington

Why did you join NHC?
I was lucky enough to receive an amazing education in public health, but I wanted to learn more about it in the "real world". My service position with NHC will allow me to gain the practical skills of working with patients and project management, but also truly understand how the social determinants of health affect the every day lives of those around me.

What are your plans after NHC?
I hope to work for a couple years in the public health field, then return to school to get either my MPH or MSW (or both!).

What sparked your interest in community service?
I've always enjoyed engaging others and working within my community. From going door to door as a Girl Scout in elementary school collecting non-perishables to harvesting vegetables in college at my school's urban farm, service has been an important and influential aspect of my life.

What excites you the most about serving in Philadelphia?
Exploring all the different neighborhoods and eating some good food!

What is your favorite food?
