Why did you join AmeriCorps/National Health Corps?
I joined the National Health Corps to provide myself with a full-time opportunity to further explore the different realms of service and make a real difference in the local and greater community.
What are you hoping to gain from your year of service?
I believe that the skills I will attain as a National Health Corps member will develop my leadership skills through its emphasis on planning, organization, communication, and many others. Additionally, as an aspiring physician, I hope to gain insight into the many pervasive aspects of health such as health care and education.
What are your plans after AmeriCorps service?
After my year of service, I plan to attend medical school.
Where do you envision yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years, I hope to be completing my last year in medical school, and preparing for a career serving marginalized populations of people in my local community.
