The City of Scranton has recently established a public health department to improve public health outreach in the community. The city is looking to expand public health services in the community, especially in priority populations, including immigrants and refugee populations, the disabled and elderly. The Public Health Workforce Development Corps member will serve to promote, educate and encourage healthy behaviors in the community and help to empower Scranton for a healthier tomorrow.
