Alexis Clow (she/her) joined National Health Corps Pittsburgh first as a member in 2019 and then as the Program Coordinator after completing her service year in August 2020. Although being on staff comes with different responsibilities than being a member, she is so grateful to continue to serve the community through NHC. Alexis earned a Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education and Substance Use Disorders in 2018 from Central Michigan University. Her passion for evidence-based programming and prevention work turned into a journey of two years of AmeriCorps service (VISTA and NHC) and led her here today. She is a born and raised “Yooper”, meaning a resident of the UpperPeninsula of Michigan, who loves everything about the outdoors – especially the beach and camping! If she could be anywhere in the world it would be at an ice rink, either figure skating with her sister or in the stands cheering on her favorite hockey players (her niece, nephews, and brothers).
