Lisa Baladad is the Program Director for NHC Central California. Born and raised in Merced, she started her journey by enlisting in the USAF where she was stationed at Travis AFB as a Public Health Technician. Lisa served a tour in Eskan Village, Saudi Arabia and completed over 7 years of service. After moving back home to the Central Valley, Lisa took a position at a clinic that used to care for her grandfather not knowing that this job would change her life. Lisa had the opportunity to find her passion, serving marginalized communities, working at a local Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). While at the FQHC she also served as a site supervisor for the AmeriCorps program, mentoring young adults many whom she is still in contact with today. While serving as the host site supervisor and learning more about the health care workforce shortages in Central California, Lisa went on to become the Program Manager with Central Valley Health Network (CVHN) where she is in charge of an internship program, plans healthcare career conferences for high school students and looks for programs and projects to encourage students to look for a future in healthcare. Lisa’s hobbies include listening to music, enjoying the outdoors, playing games of all kinds and visiting one of the many coastal towns in California with her friends and family.
