What is your title and role at your host site? Health Educator and Projects Coordinator at the Bridge of Northeast Florida. The primary focus of  my position at The Bridge of Northeast Florida is to help reduce the incidence of teen pregnancy and the spread of Sexually Transmitted Infections by providing medically accurate and age appropriate sexual health education.


Why did you join AmeriCorps/National Health Corps? To serve and give back in communities that need these services, to help the communities and clients served make changes that would not only impact their family but help change their community.


What are you hoping to gain from your year of service? A great learning experience.


What are your plans after AmeriCorps service? To start an organization that focuses on the health and well being of families and individuals.


Where do you envision yourself in 5 years? Working in a field that uses experiences and educational background attained.
