Why did you join AmeriCorps/National Health Corps? To be of utility to underserved communities and to learn how to truly appreciate, from a 'grassroots' perspective, the barriers to care that subpopulations such as refugees experience.
Where do you want to be in five years? What do you want to be doing? In 5 years, I hope to be finishing up medical school and heading off for a residency in Social and Family Medicine. (and maybe helping start a cooperative, radical, community based clinic).
What is your favorite part of service? Cute babies! (The worst part is watching them get shots though), and learning little bits of all sorts of languages--Arabic and Burmese and Nepali...
