What do you do at your site to encourage the development of healthy families?
At Macedonia Family and Community Enrichment Center (FACE), I serve on the prevention team, and focus on HIV/AIDS. In order to encourage the development of healthy families, I am currently training to conduct Be Proud! Be Responsible! workshops, which are centered around HIV prevention for teens and young adults. I also do medical case management for individuals living with HIV/AIDS, in order to help break down barriers, which may prevent patients from receiving proper treatment that they may need.
What are you looking forward to for the Christmas Holiday?
For the Christmas Holiday, I'm looking forward to the giving season. During the holidays, many individuals take time out of their busy schedules, in order to serve the community in need, by volunteering for community organizations. It's so inspiring to see so many people donating their time to help others in need.
