What is your title and role at your host site? Health Educator. I am responsible for facilitating healthy relationship programs that focus on conflict resolution, bullying prevention and awareness, and nonviolent expression of emotions; researching materials to enhance existing violence prevention curriculum; planning and facilitating Community Action Team Meetings; recruiting volunteers to assist in quarterly meetings and program facilitation.

Why did you join AmeriCorps/National Health Corps?  A new adventure that offers lots of learning opportunities, meaningful service and future opportunity to pursue a career in the healthcare field.


What are you hoping to gain from your year of service? Gaining new perspectives on ordinary issues.

What are your plans after AmeriCorps service? Work or go back to school. Undecided?

Where do you envision yourself in 5 years? Be completely debt-free to explore the world with my dog(s) while making a positive (though small) difference wherever I set foot!
