What is your role at your host site?

Patient Educator focusing on Adolescent and young adult support and medication adherence counseling. 

Why did you join AmeriCorps/National Health Corps?

I have always wanted to do a year of service, the time commitment and mission of the National Health Corps fit my interests and goals ideally. I am getting the opportunity to serve in the medical field gaining insight and knowledge that I can utilize in my future career.

What are you hoping to gain from your year of service?

I am hoping to get hands on experience helping patients, an appreciation for our community’s diversity and have fun and rewarding year as I embark on the next chapter of my life.

What are your plans after AmeriCorps service?

I am planning on going to medical school.
