The Northwest Center is the only HUD-certified fully trilingual community housing agency on the Northwest Side of Chicago. NWSHC was founded in 2003 as a response to community concerns regarding predatory lending and since then has helped thousands of families stay in their homes. In 2012, we expanded our work to include education work focusing on parents and youth. In 2015, we were the lead agency behind the Belmont Cragin Quality of Life Plan focusing on housing, education, economic development, and health. For the past 15 years our mission has remained responding to the needs of the community. We accomplish this mission through providing free programs and services and organizing residents on issues important to them.
