I grew up in Pleasanton, CA prior to college. I lived in Durham, NC for 4 years while attending college.

Why did you decide to join NHC?

I wanted to gain exposure to diverse communities in a clinical setting in preparation for my journey into the medical field.

What are you hoping to gain or learn during your service term?

I hope to learn more about how social determinants of health impact vulnerable patient populations. Additionally, I hope to learn more about how patient populations deal with diabetes on a daily basis.

What are you most looking forward to during your service term?

I am looking forward to connecting with patient populations in my hometown area and becoming involved in their care uptake. I hope to make a difference in my community!
