Operation: Health Equity. Destination: Chicago

I'm looking forward to having the privilege of working as a Community Health Educator at Advocate Children's Hospital in Chicago this next year. My passion and focus have been to create a more equitable society through increasing access to healthcare. I hope this is a great learning experience so that I may better advocate and care for my future patients as a medical care provider.

I am a recent graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I earned a degree in Neurobiology and certificates in Environmental Studies and Development Economics. I have always made service to others a top priority outside of school and have volunteered as a pediatric unit volunteer and an after-school tutor. My clinical experience includes working in a memory care unit as a Certified Nursing Assistant. When I'm not spending my time in the library, I love to read the news in my hammock and won't ever say no to a popsicle. I am very excited to start this new adventure and hope that I can help to make a positive difference in the Chicago community through my commitment to service.
