The Role of Relaxation: NHC SF 2024-2025 Annual Member Retreat!

National Health Corps is a program where young, aspiring healthcare, public health, and social services professionals jump-start their careers by providing essential services to those that need it most. However, that isn't the only thing NHC Members do throughout their term!

NHC Members build strong relationships and public health networks amongst each other, and this is done primarily through team-building activities and an annual retreat!

Join NHC San Francisco on their annual expedition to Angel Island to learn about how operations on the island impacted San Francisco in the past, all while strengthening relationships with each other!

Why did you decide to join NHC?

From my firsthand experiences with several factors that prevent people from accessing healthcare, I wanted to join NHC to understand health initiatives better and allow me to serve alongside community members as a companion.

Why did you decide to join NHC?

I wanted to join NHC as I aspire to have a career in public health. With NHC, I can work at a Host Site that aligns with my aspirations and values and be welcomed into a community through AmeriCorps. I was excited to learn about the opportunities NHC provides, as I am taking a gap year before I go to graduate school.
