Meet Cynthia, Health Educator at the Roberto Clemente Community Academy!
Posted on: December 12, 2019Chicago
Hello! I recently graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a bachelor's in Public Health Studies. As an undergraduate, I was involved in research, hospital volunteering, chamber music, and campus advocacy. I loved going off campus and exploring Baltimore and its different communities.
For this upcoming year, I am excited to live in Chicago, and to engage with community members to learn about their lives as well as the health disparities they experience. I am looking forward to growing into my role as a health educator, and collaborating with others to pursue the mission of health equity. I hope to gain skills in advocacy, and to learn how to support health efforts that are empowering and sustainable, as these skills would be applicable in my future career as a public health physician.
In my free time, I like to bake and try new foods, listen to and play music, read, and watch TV. I am looking forward to exploring Chicago and meeting new people throughout this next year!
