I grew up in Palo Alto, California and lived there until college. I have been living in Oregon for school for the past 4 years and am excited to be back in the bay now!

Why did you decide to join NHC?

I decided to join NHC because of the opportunity to serve the community that I grew up around. I was drawn to the combination of clinical healthcare, public health, and service, as well as the immense opportunity to learn from so many people around me.

What are you hoping to gain or learn during your service term?

I am hoping to gain a better understanding of where our healthcare and community systems are succeeding and where work is needed. I am hoping this experience will challenge me to better understand the intersections of public and clinical health.

What are you most looking forward to during your service term?

I am most looking forward to the connections I will make with other NHC members, host site members, and the community. I am looking forward to meeting people from different backgrounds and experiences and gaining a better understanding of our community and healthcare system as a whole.
