Position Summary
The Americorps member will serve to provide generalized support in this organizational wide effort which will, for the first time, seek to fully document patient related services other than traditional CPT or ICDA coded service. These will include: mapping current services workflows as delegated, providing feedback on gaps to Medi-Cal enrollees, tracking data that has not been tracked previously, communication to project stakeholders, and support of enrollees to effectively utilize services via the Next Gen Portal.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
1)Supporting implementation of new Next Gen Portal
2) Providing technical support to new Next Gen Portal users
3) Coordination among organization's key units, analytics, finance, billing, Member Services & Patient Support Services, & Care Teams
- Modifying organizational systems/practices to improve service efficiency and/or effectiveness
- Conducting research, mapping community assets, or reviewing data to strengthen the ability to meet community needs
- Engaging stakeholders to understand goals, needs, priorities, challenges, and opportunities
- Creating tracking or data management systems
- Developing or refining informational databases or resource information for stakeholders
Characteristics of an Ideal Candidate
Self-starter, Organized, Detail-oriented, Research and analytical skills, Able to review and synthesize information
Knowledge Required for the Position
Knowledge of AmeriCorps/Health Corps member requirements, Skill with Microsoft Office or other software for a variety of data processing operations involving a range of problem solving, record keeping, correspondence, and service tracking options.
Supervision
The supervisor assigns service activities, advises on changes in procedures, and is available for assistance when required
Review
The service activities are reviewed for accuracy through spot checks, through complaints from customers, and through observation of the member at service., Completed projects are reviewed very generally to determine that objectives have been met and are in compliance with policies and regulations.
Guidelines
Written and oral guides provide specific instructions for doing service, Detailed guidelines exist, including regulations and directives, handbooks, precedents, industry standards, and files of previous projects
Complexity
Member has little or no choice about how to perform the service position, The member must develop new techniques, methods, or approaches to complete service position assignments

Language Proficiency Requirements
Is proficiency in a language other than English required? No
