Position Summary
This position will be pivotal in acting as a community liaison to do the necessary outreach to schools and other nonprofit organizations to assist in the MOU process, scheduling sites, and organizing the staff for the implementation of providing primary care and behavioral health services to hard to reach populations. This will include promoting COVID-19 vaccinations with educational materials and facilitating small focus groups.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Establishes and builds upon existing relationships with people living with HIV/AIDS or people who are at risk of contracting HIV within the community
Serve as one of the primary contacts in planning and coordinating patient support groups, consumer advisory groups, need assessments, and other evaluation projects - identify and reach out to people living with HIV and encourage patient participation in focus and support groups, and community engagement on the need assessment.
Schedule and coordinate support groups, focus groups, and consumer advisory groups at 3 different sites.
Plan and implement a need assessment on people living with HIV/AIDS within the service area.
Perform qualitative patient interviews and quantitative surveys regarding HIV care and the Ryan White program.

Knowledge Required for the Position
Knowledge of AmeriCorps/Health Corps member requirements. Skill with Microsoft Office or other software for a variety of data processing operations involving a range of problem solving, record keeping, correspondence, and
service tracking options.
Guidelines
Written and oral guides provide specific instructions for doing service.
Guidelines are generally applicable, but the Member independently makes adaptations in dealing with problems and unusual situations.
