Kelly Hiznay
Program Coordinator, National Health Corps Chicago

Kelly Hiznay (she/her) works as the Program Coordinator for National Health Corps Chicago at Public Health Institute of Metropolitan Chicago. She has a long history with national service and has a passion for helping others maximize their experience while serving their communities. After earning a Bachelor of Art in Interpersonal Communication with a minor in History from Western Michigan University, she served her first term as an AmeriCorps VISTA in youth development. Her second foray into national service was as an AmeriCorps VISTA Leader focusing on volunteer generation. She has also directed an AmeriCorps State program focused on Volunteer Income Tax Assistance and worked as part of the staff at the Southwest Region of AmeriCorps NCCC.  Kelly calls herself an “AmeriCorps Lifer.”

Kelly loves spending time with and training her rescue Australian Cattle Dog, Brinny. She also enjoys spending time with family, crafting, activities in the snow, getting lost in her favorite tv shows, and supporting nonprofits that are important to her.
