Bobby Theiss and his Host Site

Tell us a little about your host site.

My host site, Primary Care Health Services (PCHS), is a set of 10 federally qualified health centers that care for patients of all ages in medically underserved communities. We have a pharmacy, laboratory, dental office, and social service center that supports our primary care operations.

What are some of your tasks at your host site?

I have a variety of different responsibilities. I send reminders and schedule patients due for preventive services such as mammograms, well-child visits, and Medicare Annual Wellness Visits. My other tasks include organizing a patient panel to provide feedback on our health centers, giving annual retina eye exams to diabetic patients, and enrolling people in the Dollar Energy utility grant program

What is your favorite part of serving at your host site?

My favorite part of serving at my host site is being involved in so many projects. Each day presents a new challenge, so I am never bored!
