LaRandi Lowe: New Beginnings in Chicago

Posted on: August 8, 2017Chicago

Hi everyone! My name is LaRandi. I am originally from southern California but received my Bachelors of Science in Public Health from Syracuse University in 2016. Currently, I am serving as an AmeriCorps National member with Habitat for Humanity Riverside. Working with Habitat for Humanity has been a great experience, but I'm excited to move to Chicago and work with and in the community to help address its various public health concerns through National Health Corps.

This year, I will be serving with the Respiratory Health Association as an asthma Health Educator. Being that I myself have asthma, I am very excited to serve as an asthma educator and give students, caregivers, and educators the information they need to keep themselves, their family members, and their students safe and in good health. I'm very excited to start my service term, meet my fellow AmeriCorps members, explore Chicago, and make lots of connections and great friends.
