Meet Jacey: NHC Chicago Member Serving as a Food Justice Coordinator

Posted on: January 16, 2020Chicago

Hi all, I'm so excited to serve with  National Health Corps Chicago as a Food Justice Coordinator for Proviso Partners for Health in September 2019. I'm a recent graduate from UC Berkeley with a degree in Molecular Environmental Biology. I feel lucky to be so passionate about the field I've ended up in - I'm always happy to talk Public Health, Environmental Health, or Ecology.

Outside of service I love to walk/wander, hike, travel, and listen to live music. To unwind I like to practice yoga, listen to podcasts, and window shop. This summer, I conducted research on lead exposure in Mexico City/Morelos. I'm so excited to get my hands dirty (quite literally, given that I'll be doing some gardening) and make invaluable connections within the community. I've never been to Chicago, so I'm also excited to explore the city as well.
