Hi everyone! My name is Tracey and I am from Seattle, WA. I graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with friends, family, my dog, going outdoors and eating good food.
I have always had an interest in healthcare and service. That is why I wanted to join NHC Chicago to devote a year to learning about public health, healthcare and serving others. Prior to my service year, I worked in a community health clinic where I gained hands-on knowledge about healthcare disparities and the healthcare system. In addition, I helped organize and served on a mobile health clinic that visited communities in rural Vietnam that did not have medical access. I hope to learn more about serving others and learn about healthcare issues that members of our community face.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to experience and live in a new city where I get to meet and learn from such amazing people.
